cant believe it is the last day of 2008 thats been kinda dramatic and overwholeming ... cant wait to move past it and on to the greener pasture ...

 

there are highs and lows , thats life , isnt it ? maybe wat iv been thru , even tho its been a lot , might not be all that big a deal . i mean , just face it like a man and accept the fact that is really tough ,

 

but tony , what it takes to make a successful man who really values nothing more than growing up ?

 

i guess it takes a strong tony , a tough tony and a positive tony who knows what tenactiy means

 

i had the time to heal my wounds and heartache of something really dramatic , and kinda stupid , just was kinda in denial tho ,,face it !!!

 

it is time now to MOVE ON like iv never been hurt and SHINE ,,, iv always been one to say that i will make it happen , lets wait and see

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep my relationships fresh

There are lots of connections that you have successfully made and might have helped ur career in the past but they might not be useful at the moment , pay them the close attention that they deserve and keep them alive and fresh , cos you will never know when they come in handy. I believe creating a list of those people might be a good idea , always keep them near you as a reminder , and you might wanna catch up with them from time to time , it might cost you some time or little money , but based on my experience from failure , doing that is more likely to lead you to new opportunities you can ever imagine , otherwise you might put these relationships at risk and end up burning the bridges , I should always keep in mind that if I wanna be successful , I should be more aware of the fact that being successful requires good personal skills , doing business is all about networking and collaborating , like the old saying goes , its not what you do , its who you know that counts , Iv known this adage for a long time but I feel like this is the first time I have ever actually understood it and believe me , it really counts BIGTIME

 

Never be too defensive and aggressive

especially with those who seem bigger than you are in some sense now , underplay what you know or what you can do in some cases might serve you better than the other way around . but always remember when is the time to be loud and speak up for yourself. There is always a fine line. Im just talking about the situations where defensiveness is mostly not necessary, if you tend to do that , it might do you more harm than good in some unexpected way one day

 

Stay informed and literate

I know its only natural that we all have a tendency to do what we like or read what you find interesting or talk about what interests YOU , only you , nobody likes talking about stuff they are nearly interested in , Im one of them and I think I should stay more informed and start caring more about whats going on out there , I mean nationally or globally , I know its hard to force myself to do what I don’t like , but im convinced I don’t wanna feel outta the loop when people , especially my business associates around me are talking about what they are interested in , you might feel a bit uncomfortable being left out but its not a good idea just not to participate in or just keep talking about the stuff u like , with todays internet and the other media sources out there , I guess it isn’t that difficult to stay informed anyway , this is also a trait that a wannabe successful person like me should develop and possess

 

Build your credibility and keep it intact

Its as simple as keeping your words , but it doesn’t seem easy for me , its not that I never keep my words and remember what my words were , I just feel like I really need to pay close attention to tiny things that I have promised , no matter how big or small it is and whom I promise to . as a businessman , people like to do business with the people they like and they trust , I guess  the same is also true with friends in our lives , you will never know when you might need a favor from a friend , just be nice to everyone I meet and make friends with them , and do whatever you have promised them …I really need to be cautious because I might undermine my credibility without me being aware of it… which might end up burning my own bridges ,,,its not just worth it in most cases based on my own experiences … yes ,,,keep my words no matter what … even though I might pay a lot more than I should at some point , but im sure it will pay back in one form or another ..and when im asked to do somebody a favor , make sure once iv said yes , I will not only get it taken care of , but I will do it good , not just do it , I guess building my credibility is like an accumulative process where I should be cautious and sensitive as well as helpful . I just cant imagine myself being able to lead a happy life without integrity ,,,keep in mind that’s a huge part of what matters most if being successful really means that much to me … let it be a part of my life ….
